There are very few policies and many more standard practices adhered to by RNA Directors and endorsed by our members.
Our Bylaws
The bylaws of the Riverside Neighborhood Association, Inc. were amended by the Board of Directors on January 15, 2025
Guidance for Neighbors
Please comply with City code requiring your dog to be on leash at all times—including in the park.
Keep your car free of all belongings so no one is tempted by what they may see inside.
Recreation and Parks agency rules prohibit the parking of vehicles in the park.
Check Baltimore City’s website to determine what events may require a permit, including reserving the park pavilion.
Policies
Prohibition Against Political Activity: Part of our registration as a 501(c)(3) charitable nonprofit organization prohibits RNA from engaging in “political campaign activity,” and explicitly states that we may “not participate in, or intervene in (including the publishing or distributing of statements) any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for public office. See the full policy here.
Practices
As a nonprofit organization we seek, receive, and manage grants from a variety of public sources and private philanthropies.
We invite developers who are contemplating plans in Riverside to connect with members of our Board as early as possible. We will meet to discuss your plans and offer feedback prior to inviting you to a public community meeting.
We often can help you find answers or get the attention of public officials and City agencies. Reach out to us at RNABaltimore@gmail.com.
We frequently welcome guest speakers—civic and political leaders, agency staff, business and nonprofit representatives, and more—to our business meetings. If you are interested in addressing our group, email us at RNABaltimore@gmail.com.
