The Baltimore City Department of Transportation would like to advise motorists of the traffic modifications that will be in effect for the Casey Cares Foundation and Orioles 5K Run and Walk which will be held on Saturday, August 03, 2013. The 5K run starts at 8:00 a.m.
The event will begin at the warehouse at Camden Yards. Participants will head east on Conway Street, right on Light Street, and left on Key Highway where they will turn around at Cross Street. Runners will travel west on Key Highway and turn left on Battery Avenue, right on Montgomery Street and left on Hanover Street. Participants will then turn right on Hamburg Street, cross over the bridge and turn right between the two stadiums, left on Lee Street, and right on the service drive to the tunnel entrance for Oriole Park at Camden Yards.
In preparation for the event, one lane of travel will be coned off for participants wherever possible along the race route. Commuters should be advised that temporary traffic stops may be implemented during the event for the safety of participants. Motorists traveling in this vicinity should be on the watch for pedestrians and are encouraged to use alternate routes.
