December 15th Neighborhood Meeting

There is so much happening at our next meeting that it needs its own blog post! If you don’t feel like reading the ins and outs below, arrive to Salem Lutheran Church at 6:45pm on Monday, December 15th with some cash for raffles or t-shirts and room in your stomach to enjoy milk and cookies (if you want in on the contest, see #1). Hope to see you there!

1.2nd Annual Holiday Cookie Contest– Begins at 6:30. If you just want to eat cookies- great! We’ll have cookies for all of our meeting attendees, as well as yellow neighborhood cups to giveaway! Fill them with milk for cookie-dipping if you’d like! If you want to participate in the cookie contest, take a look at the rules and guidelines. You can win one of three great prizes, including a $100 gift card to Wine Market. Winners will be chosen by our special guest judges, Distrcit 46 Delegates Luke Clippinger, Pete Hammen, and Brian McHale. Don’t miss out!

2. Farewell Shane– Shane Laporte, RNA’s president of 18 months, is moving up… to Boston. Join us as we thank Shane for his dedication to our neighborhood, and wish him well in his new homestead.

3. Holiday T-Shirts for Sale– We have some holiday RNA t-Shirts remaining from last year’s sale. We have red shirts in youth S, M, and L sizes, as well as red adult S, M, L, and XL. No more green shirts. Kids shirts are $5 and adults shirts are $10. They will be available on a first come, first served basis (cookie contest winners will be refunded $10 at the end of the meeting).

4. Guest Speaker- Nikia Mack of the Department of Transportation will join us to discuss proposed traffic calming plans for Randall and Johnson including curb bump outs at certain locations.

5. Salem Lutheran Raffle & Silent Auction– Pastor Jake will join us to sell basket raffle tickets and will open the church’s silent auction to our residents. Auction items include sports memorabilia and gift cards to local restaurants.
