According to Capt. Brian Hance of the BPD’s Southern District, a white male was stabbed at approximately 4:25am on Sunday, August 17th in the 100 block of E. Ostend. Just prior to the stabbing, the victim was on the porch area of a property in the 1200 block of Wall St. The residents asked this individual to leave, he complied, and he was seen staggering around the block. Not long after the individual left the porch, he was approached by 4 individuals on mopeds. An altercation occurred between the victim and the persons on the mopeds and it was during this altercation that the man was stabbed. Police are increasing patrols in the area as a result and will share more information with the community as it becomes available.
