Art with a Heart in Riverside Park

art with a heart

Riverside Park has been chosen to receive a new piece of artwork!  Art with a Heart, as part of their 15th anniversary celebration, has commissioned 15 artistically decorated benches.  The benches will have artwork on the upper front of the bench done by different artists.  Look for the new bench to appear in the park near the flagpole later in the month of October!

About the Project

In celebration of its 15thAnniversary, Art with a Heart is working with local artists and students to create 15 one-of kind benches to install in 15 different parks all over Baltimore City.  Art with a Heart is working with Recreation and Parks to select the 15 parks and to comply with all applicable rules and regulations.  Art with a Heart is also working with Gutierrez Studios to assure proper and quality fabrication of the benches.  On November 12th at Art with a Heart’s 15th Anniversary event at the Lyric Opera House, featuring 10-time Grammy winner, George Benson, the various parks and benches will be highlighted in the evening’s program given to guests (capacity 2,500).  The program will also include a map of each park and picture of the bench so guests can tour the different community sites.
